The session was the most well-attended of the breakout offerings, and we received many comments on the evaluations that Matt's AI session was engaging and useful. His strategies were very relevant and addressed the topic of AI in new ways for attendees in varied positions (administrators, teachers). 

Since Matt Mervis' presentation on AI and the accompanying activities to kick off our academic year, I have received nothing but positive feedback from a variety of stakeholders. Everyone found the presentation to be informative, engaging, and well-received. I would welcome the opportunity to work with our staff again on this important topic and will recommend him to my colleagues across the state!

I heard Matt speak at the CAPSS/CSDE Innovation Conference last year and I knew I wanted him to speak to our staff.  When he opened the year at Old Saybrook, teachers, and para-educators were excited and overwhelmed with his knowledge about A.I. and its implications for our classrooms and learning.  Besides being knowledgeable, Matt has a very engaging style of presenting.

Matt did an excellent job engaging the staff with current and pertinent information regarding AI.  It wasn't all doom and gloom, but Matt shared information about how it could be used by teachers as well.  It was an informative, non-threatening, and valuable PD for our staff!

Matt brought humor, music, and an accessible approach that engaged educators in a conversation about Artificial Intelligence. He was able to balance aspirational ideas with practical concerns and provided us with a common point of entry as we figure out the role AI will play in our instructional practice.
