Micro-credential AI in K-12 Education - Spring 2025

Skills21 at EdAdvance, in partnership with Southern Connecticut State University’s Office of Workforce and Lifelong Learning, is offering a micro-credential: AI in K-12 Education. This six-week course will run from April 14, 2025 to June 30, 2025, and is designed to be self-paced, with a focus on practical, hands-on activities. It will cover five key modules: Foundations | Prompting Pros | Shifting Assessments | Future Focus | Presentation.

Each module includes video instruction and activities that will guide you in practicing the use of generative AI in a variety of educational contexts. To further support your learning, we are offering four optional synchronous Zoom meetings from 6:00-7:00 PM on the following dates: April 24 (Thur), May 1 (Tue),  May 15 (Thur), May 20 (Tue). Participants who complete the training will earn a digital badge issued by Southern Connecticut State University through Credly.
