What skills will students learn in the program?

What specific content knowledge will students learn in the program?

• Understanding of the composition of animation being 2D or 3D images
• Sequencing images in rapid succession to produce the illusion of movement
• Investigation of the 2D and 3D process including additional media (sound)
• Work on a simple 2D and 3D film project

What are the dates of the program?

• The program is consists of two different weeks
• 2D animation is taught during the week of (Monday, August 9 to Friday, August 13)
• 3D animation is taught during the week of (Monday, August 16 to Friday, August 20)

How many students are in the program?
10 maximum

What is the age range for students in this program?

• 13 – 18 years of age for week One (Monday, August 9 to Friday, August 13)
• 15 – 18 years of age for week Two (Monday, August 16 to Friday, August 20)

What if any prior knowledge is required? What is recommended (but not required)?

• No prior knowledge is required
• Beneficial to have a familiarity with Macintosh operating system and paint program

What if anything do students need to bring with them to the program?

• Lunch
