- Genetic transformation

- Protein isolation, quantification and purification
What content knowledge will students learn in the program?
- In a simulation students identify a new pharmaceutical drug
- Work to bring the new drug from bench-top to marketplace
- Learn the processes of drug discovery, production, purification and marketing
- Learn about the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) role in drug discovery, animal testing, and bioethics

- Lab coat (If the student does not already own one, a lab coat may be purchased from the program for an additional cost.)

Who is the instructor? There are many biotech teachers out there-should be relatively easy to identify someone.
