Matthew Worwood

Matthew Worwood (avatar)Digital Media Specialist

Matthew Worwood is an Apple Distinguished Educator with a degree in Drama and a Post-Graduate Certification in Education. He merges his experience in digital media and movie making with an interest in creativity, to lead the development of a digital media and art sequence for the academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, as well as maintaining the digital media and film aspect of a state initiative called Connecticut Career Choices.

Through his work at Center for 21st Century Skills, Matthew has developed the Connecticut Student Film Festival, supported the creation of www.ctstudentfilms.org, managed the Digital Media and Movie Making program, created a 3D Modeling and Animation curriculum, established a 3D virtual world called IVCS2, and implemented a variety of film challenges in the state of Connecticut.

Matthew is a blogger at TeachDigital.org, a fan of Sir Ken Robinson, and is currently in his final year of a master’s degree program studying education policy and creativity.
